How does it work? - All you have to do is sign-up and upload
your photos. We handle the rest. Uploading your photos is simple and straightforward and is carried out from our site uploading facility. Instructions on uploading are given on the relevant uploading page of our site which will be available to you following sign up. We require you to upload image files in Jpeg format, each image being in the region of approx. 1MB in size. The reason for a 1MB size upload is so that when you sell an image for download, the purchaser receives a good quality image size.
How much does it cost? - Signing up and uploading your photos is Free. We handle all of the sales,
promotion and customer support and take 25% commission from every photo you
sell.
When do I get paid? - Your profit from the sales of your photos is paid to you once a month once you have
accrued over £25.00, and will be paid to you via PayPal. Please make
sure you send us your PayPal account email address for us to send
payment to you (please read the Photographers Terms & Conditions at bottom of this page, regarding payment details). If you do not have a PayPal account then we may be able to send payments to you by other means. Does Photography Direct use my images for it's own use? - No Way! Photography Direct does not use your uploaded images in any other way than to display them on this site only for the express purpose of allowing visitors to this site to view your images and if they wish, to download a copy of your image for a payment per download. The payment made for the download is collected by us on your behalf and the payment will be paid to you, less our commission, and at the frequency as per our terms and conditions as stated above in the 'When do I get paid paragraph'.
Are there any hidden snags or extras? - Absolutely not! This site has been set up by Photographers for Photographers. It's main function is to simply allow good quality and interesting images to be seen and enjoyed World Wide. If the viewers like our images enough to wish to purchase them - then we allow the facility on the site - and it is this part of the site which you are also able to use and, hopefully, make some money from your efforts. All we ask is that you upload, on a regular basis, good quality, non-offensive images which will be of interest to discerning viewers throughout the world. This is your opportunity to share in an image publishing professional web site without having to go to the trouble and expense of designing, hosting and running such a site as this which allows the publication and sale of images on-line. What happens if I wish to cancel my membership and leave the site? - You may cancel your membership at any time you wish. If you chose to do this all you need to do is to contact us via the site contact form and confirm that you wish to cancel. We will confirm your cancellation and we will then remove all of your images from the site. We will also pay you any monies owed to you from the online sales of your images. All this will be carried out within five days following confirmation of your cancellation request. Communication and contact between you and Photography Direct? - We are Photographers just like you, and not some faceless Webmaster! All comment and communication is welcomed and we will reply as soon as we are able. HOW DO I GET STARTED? - Easy - Just fill in your details on the form below, give us a bit of biography e.g. who you are - where you carry out your photography work - what field of Photography you specialize in - anything really which will give your viewer a 'picture' of you as a Photographer. Once accepted you can be uploading your images for view and/or sale within minutes of being accepted. We may request that you send an initial small portfolio of a few of your images to us, just so that we can see that your input is in keeping with the quality of photography which we (and we are sure that you also) would like to see on the site.
